Peace River RCMP are asking the public for help, following a late night armed robbery.

RCMP responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at the Best Western hotel around 11:50 p.m. on June 24.

RCMP stated in a release that the suspect entered the hotel lobby and confronted 2 workers with a knife.

The investigation determined that the subject left on foot, empty handed. The individual may have fled in a vehicle that was parked in the westbound lane of Highway 2, just west of the train overpass.

The suspect is described to be:

  • Tall
  • Dressed in a black jacket, blue jeans and a green hoodie
  • Wearing white running shoes and a grey mask
