Rob Williams has gone full circle at CTV Edmonton. When he arrived back in 2000, Rob co-anchored the noon news with Carrie Doll and later moved on to the weekend anchor desk. In 2004, Rob stepped behind the camera to become Senior News Producer of the six o'clock newscast. Now, Rob is back in front of the camera, as co-anchor of CTV Morning Live.

Born in Whitecourt, Rob grew up near Irma, Alberta. On January 2, 1992 Rob started his broadcasting career at Key 83 radio in Wainwright. Before the year was out he moved to Medicine Hat, a great community he called home for more than 7 years. Rob worked in radio and eventually television, where he anchored the supper and late night newscasts at CHAT TV for 5 years.

Over the years Rob been active in helping out the Good Neighbour Fund, the Terry Fox Run and many other causes. He has competed in 5 Death Races in Grande Cache and takes part in a yearly 140 kilometre bike ride with friends that raises money for the Cross Cancer Institute.

Rob enjoys reading Mitch Albom's articles and books and his favourite movie is Seabiscuit.
