The three individuals charged in connection to two separate attacks that left two convenience store workers dead appeared in an Edmonton courtroom Monday morning.

Laylin Delorme, 24, and Colton Steinhauer, 27, along with a 13-year-old boy are facing a total of 32 charges between them – the charges range from two counts each of first-degree-murder, robbery with a prohibited restricted firearm, and disguised with intent.

The charges laid against the three are also connected to other recent robberies.

“Our robbery section has been able to successfully link these three suspects to other recent robberies through evidence gathered at one of the scenes,” Edmonton Police Chief Rod Knecht said Friday.

The accused appeared briefly in court Monday morning – Delorme and Steinhauer appeared via closed-circuit television from the Remand Centre. The pair are still without legal representation.

In a youth courtroom, the teenager wiped away tears as he faced his charges. His lawyer quickly put the case over to January 4.

CTV News saw the records of the teenager, and it shows that he was also charged in connection to two robberies and two counts of assault with a weapon two months before Friday’s violent robberies.

Delorme and Steinhauer will return to court on January 11.
