Police are looking for three men after a test drive turned into an auto theft Tuesday.
A customer walked into a west end used-car dealership on 178 Street and 102 Avenue Tuesday and asked to test drive a blue 2007 Dodge Dakota quad cab, police said.
Investigators said the customer and an employee drove around the west end for a while when the man asked to stop at the Mayfield Inn to use the bathroom.
When the man was inside the hotel, two other men in their 20s rushed the truck and threw the dealership staff member out of the vehicle and fled.
Police said the truck was last seen driving southbound on Mayfield Road.
Investigators said the customer ran outside immediately after the truck was stolen, but then ran back inside the hotel and was never seen again.
Police describe all three suspects as white men in their mid-20s.
