After hosting a number of open houses to allow Edmontonians a chance to share ideas on the Blatchford development, City of Edmonton officials are launching an online survey to collect more feedback.

The City said hundreds of people attended the three open houses, where Edmontonians were invited to share suggestions on sustainability and liveability features that could be integrated in the Blatchford community.

An online survey was launched Wednesday for people who may not have had a chance to attend one of the open houses.

The survey will run from September 10 to 19, officials said.

Information from the survey and open houses will become part of a report slated to go before City Council on October 28, as the look at future plans for Blatchford.

The Blatchford community will be built on the old City Centre Airport lands, and is expected to be home to up to 30,000 people. The city said Blatchford will use renewable energy, and will be carbon neutral.
