More Albertans getting influenza vaccination this season
Influenza immunization is free for all Albertans.

Numbers released by Alberta Health Services show over the course of the 2012 to 2013 flu season, more Albertans are seeking the flu shot, than last year.
AHS said between Oct. 1, 2012 and Jan. 26, 2013, 837,373 doses of influenza vaccine had been administered.
That number is up from last year’s numbers from about the same time, at this point in the 2011/2012 flu season, 652,544 doses had been administered.
Officials said of this year’s statistics, more than half – or 482,678 doses had been given by AHS Public Health – while about 354,695 were administered by community providers between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31, 2012.
