Edmonton police said Friday that autopsy results had confirmed human remains found in March belonged to a man reported missing in July, 2015.
Back on March 21, human remains were found in the area of 34 Street and 257 Avenue – and on Friday, April 22, police said the Medical Examiner confirmed they are those of Awet Ghebre, 23.
Ghebre was reported missing July 1, 2015, but it’s believed he was last seen by family on June 14, 2015, and last heard from on June 17.
Ghebre’s death has been confirmed to be homicide – police said it is Edmonton’s 17th of the year.
