RCMP west of Edmonton said officers executed a search warrant in a home Tuesday, where a number of weapons were found.
Spruce Grove RCMP said officers executed a search warrant for a home in Spruce Grove on Tuesday, February 24.
Inside, investigators found a cache of weapons including a sawed-off shotgun, a .45 cal Sig Sauer pellet gun - not a handgun as first reported, a .22 Mossberg Assault rifle, a 308 rifle, a crossbow, ammunition and numerous knives.
In addition, officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
RCMP said Ronald Melin, 37, is facing a number of weapons offences and marijuana possession charges.
He’s expected to make his first court appearance April 1.
