Identity of man found dead in Sturgeon County field released

Morinville RCMP have released details on the identity of the man found dead in a rural Sturgeon County field Monday.

RCMP said Wednesday that 26-year-old Krishneel Kamal Kumar, of Edmonton, was found in a field by a farmer Monday, October 30.

An autopsy was conducted Tuesday, and the Medical Examiner in Edmonton confirmed the manner of Kumar’s death was homicide.

Police are asking anyone with details on the case to call Morinville RCMP, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
