North Vancouver RCMP have extended their call for assistance in finding a woman last seen in May of this year to the east, and believe the woman may have travelled as far as Alberta.
RCMP are searching for 28-year-old Angeline Pete – who was reportedly last seen in May 2011, and reported missing by her family on August 8, 2011.
According to investigators, Pete hasn't made any contact with family or friends, or accessed any social media or bank accounts since she disappeared.
Her missing person file has since been handed over to the North Vancouver RCMP's Serious Crime Unit.
Angeline Pete is described as:
- Aboriginal
- 5'4" tall
- 150 lbs.
- Long dark hair, which she may have dyed
- Brown eyes, she also wears contacts
- Butterfly tattoo located on her chest
Police said any efforts so far to find Pete have turned up nothing, and are following up on a lead that she may have hitch-hiked north, through British Columbia, and could have entered Alberta.
RCMP believe she may have travelled through any of the following communities: Kamloops, 100 Mile House, Surrey, Cranbrook, Sparwood, Grande Prairie, or Lethbridge.
