A violent attack has left one man dead and police investigating a suspicious death in central Edmonton.
Just before 1 a.m. Monday on 114 Street, just north of Jasper Avenue, police say a violent incident took place that resulted in an 18-year-old man being taken to hospital.
Few details are being confirmed by police, however witnesses have told CTV News say the person was beaten up, and stabbed.
The victim was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Police said an autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, where the Medical Examiner will confirm the cause of death, and whether it is a homicide.
Investigators don't believe the attack is random.
