Weeks after he was found guilty of first-degree murder in a deadly stabbing rampage at a west Edmonton warehouse in 2014, the sentencing hearing for Jayme Pasieka was held in an Edmonton courtroom.

In early March, Pasieka was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, among other charges.

Back in February, 2014, Pasieka bought two knives before going to work at the Loblaw Grocery Warehouse.

Inside, he started stabbing coworkers – killing Fitzroy Harris, 50, and Thierno Bah, 41.

The charges carry an automatic life sentence – but it was up to a judge to decide parole eligibility.

Both the Crown and defence were seeking parole ineligibility for 25 years, and the judge agreed Friday in Pasieka’s sentence.
