A day after a man in his 30s died following an alleged altercation in a northeast Edmonton apartment building, the results of the autopsy were released.

An Edmonton Police Services spokesperson said the Medical Examiner confirmed Gregory Richard Pratt, 31, died after he was stabbed in the chest early Monday morning – and confirm his death is a case of homicide.

Police were called to the apartment building located at 34 Street and 115 Avenue after 2 a.m. after a disturbance was reported.

Officers arrived to find a man suffering from serious injuries.

Paramedics tried to revive the man, but he succumbed to his injuries.
