Edmonton police said they were investigating, after an aggravated assault was reported in a neighbourhood on the northeast side of the city.

Police said officers were called to the Evergreen Mobile Home Park in northeast Edmonton at about 11:45 Wednesday night, over a reported aggravated assault.

Officers arrived to find a 38-year-old man injured at the scene, he was rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.

On Thursday morning, police said investigators were going door-to-door interviewing other residents of the neighbourhood.

Multiple neighbours confirmed to CTV News that two brothers lived in separate homes in the mobile home park, and earlier Wednesday, the older brother backed his vehicle into a pool, which started an argument.

Reports indicated they heard a loud altercation, one neighbour said a baseball bat was used – and the brothers had argued before.

The Edmonton Police Service Homicide Section is investigating.

No additional details on the case were released by police.
