Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man wanted in connection to the alleged sexual assaults of four minors.

Police said investigators have already tried to find 53-year-old John Edward Beaver – but his location has remained a mystery.

A total of 13 outstanding warrants have been issued for Beaver for charges of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.

Beaver is described as:

  • Aboriginal
  • 180 cm (5’11”) tall
  • 75 kg (165 lbs)
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown hair
  • Significantly pock-marked face

“We’d like to give closure to the families and the children victimized by this suspect,” Det. Leanne Kilb with the EPS Child Protection Section said in a press release. “While the photo police have of the suspect is dated, we know that someone will recognize this man and will know where police can find him.”

Kilb said it’s believed Beaver lives a transient lifestyle, making it difficult to track him down.

Anyone with information as to Beaver’s whereabouts is asked to call the EPS non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone.

Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
