Edmonton police are asking for help, as they investigate a serious collision that took place late Monday evening that left a teenaged girl serious injured.

Officers were called to the area of 130 Street and 130 Avenue at about 8:30 p.m. Monday – it was reported that a 14-year-old girl had been hit by a car in the area, and the vehicle had fled the area.

Police were on the scene minutes after it was reported, and paramedics treated the teenager on the scene, and then rushed her to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.

EPS officers remained on the scene until about 3 a.m.
