RCMP have recovered the Olympic ring belonging to Canadian curler Brad Jacobs.

Video surveillance and tips from the general public, led investigators to identify the suspects.

A 22-year-old woman from High Prairie is in custody and facing charges, while a male suspect is still being sought after by police.

The ring was among items stolen from two motel rooms in Boyle, Alberta on June 21, 2014. Jacobs was in town participating in a charity event.

Jacobs took to Twitter Friday morning anticipating the timely return of his ring.

The woman remains in custody, while RCMP attempt to locate the male suspect.

The names of the both suspects have not been released.
