Youths charged with torturing young boy appear in court

Two boys accused of torturing a 12-year-old boy in Calmar made their first court appearance Friday.

The teens, who cannot be identified because their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are facing charges that include assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, sexual interference, and forcible confinement.

The case has been put over until Jan. 13th.
