An autopsy has confirmed a 56-year-old man who died Monday morning is Edmonton’s latest homicide victim.

According to police, autopsy results show Teck Hwang died of blunt drastic trauma.

Police were called to a home in the Belle Rive neighbourhood around 10 p.m. Sunday night. There they found the man in cardiac arrest. He was rushed to hospital but died Monday morning.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses including a woman who lives at the residence.

“It appears it was a domestic violence situation. Domestic violence continues to be one of the top crimes reported to police,” said Scott Pattison with the Edmonton Police Service.

The death is being called a homicide but no charges have been laid.
