City police are out with a warning for the public about the release of a convicted sexual offender.

Alexandre Passechnikov, 32, will be residing in the Edmonton area, under a series of court ordered conditions.

Police say Passechnikov has a known history of assaulting women of varied ages. They also warn that it is believed that he has an infectious, potentially life-threatening, medical condition that can be transmitted through bodily fluids.

Passechnikov has several conditions to follow including a 10:00 p.m. nightly curfew, no booze or drugs and he can't leave the city without permission.
