Edmonton police said Friday that the autopsy in connection to the death of a man who was found early Thursday morning had been completed, and had been ruled a homicide.
Police said the Medical Examiner had confirmed David Gordon Fleming, 28, had died from a gunshot wound.
Fleming’s body was found after police were called to a home in the area of 114 Street and 134 Avenue just before 5 a.m. Thursday on a weapons complaint.
Officers arrived and found the deceased male inside the home.
EPS said late Thursday that investigators were trying to find a vintage vehicle that was reportedly stolen from the home of the suspicious death.
The vehicle is described as a 1979 Ford Thunderbird with a licence plate number BLT1482.
Police said suspect, or suspects, might be armed and dangerous – and anyone who sees the vehicle is asked to contact police and to not approach, if they see it.
Fleming’s death is Edmonton’s second homicide of the year.
