The heat streak continues.
In fact...we may be entering some rare territory here.
This will be the 4th consecutive day above 20 degrees.
In the past 20 years, we've had strings of 5-7 straight days in the 20s.
But, we haven't had more than 7 consecutive days in the 20s in May in the past two decades.
(I'll go back further later today...I just ran out of time this morning).
If the forecast holds, we'll stretch this out to 13 consecutive days with highs of 20 or hotter.
The only thing that looks like it might stop the streak is the end of the month!
(and the first few days of June look warm as well).

The downside is that the dry streak continues as well.
Edmonton averages 43mm of rain in the month of May.  This year, we've had just 3mm.
The snow a couple weeks ago was measured at 12cm, which is above the average May snowfall of 7cm.
But, if you add up the snow & the rain numbers...we're running at about 30% of average precipitation for the month.
We still have about 10 days left, but most of that period looks dry too.
The next good chance for showers in the Capital Region doesn't roll in until the end of next week.
