The Edmonton Police Hate Crime Unit is investigating, after police were called to the site of a burning swastika in southwest Edmonton early Monday morning.

Police were called to the intersection of Rabbit Hill Road and Anthony Henday Drive by Edmonton Fire Rescue just after midnight on April 21. Upon arrival, they found a 10 foot by 10 foot wooden swastika attached to a 15 foot wooden post. Fire crews had already extinguished the blaze.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Edmonton Police at 780-423-4567. Information can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers, by calling 1-800-222-8477.
