Edmonton police said Thursday that a man who was wanted in connection to the killing of a woman earlier this month had been arrested, and was facing a number of charges.

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said Brian Joseph Boysis, 34, was arrested by officers from Gleichen RCMP on Monday, May 16 on the Siksika First Nation.

Now, detectives with the EPS Homicide Section said Boysis has been charged with second degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, use of a firearm while committing an offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm, robbery with a prohibited or restricted firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Boysis has been charged in connection to the death of Sabrina Papin, 27 – she died May 3 after arriving at an Edmonton hospital with gunshot wounds.

Also charged is Chad Neville Boysis, 29. Police laid charges against him on May 6 – and an Alberta-wide warrant was issued for Brian Boysis.
