Several hours after police asked for the public’s help in finding a missing elderly couple, RCMP said an area resident found them.
On Monday, police asked for help in tracking down Neil, 84, and Pearl Holmes, 80 – who were last seen Sunday in their Valleyview home.
Valleyview RCMP said the couple was found at about 6 p.m. Monday, in a remote area near Sunset House, Alberta.
They were foundi n the area of Highway 747 and Township Road 694.
Police said an area resident who heard the couple was missing, drove through the area with her husband to look for them.
The couple had become lost, and their van had become stuck – Neil had attempted to walk for help when he was found near their van, Pearl was still inside the car.
The pair was taken to Valleyview Hospital for treatment, their current condition was not immediately known Tuesday morning.
