Stony Plain/Spruce Grove/Enoch RCMP is working to find a male suspect, following an incident near a Spruce Grove school on Monday afternoon.
RCMP gave details in a release, stating a student was approached by a suspicious male, while walking home from school. The incident happened at around 3:10 p.m.
The 9-year-old student was walking east on Brookwood drive from King Street in Spruce Grove, when they were approached by a man heading west. The man tried to engage the student in conversation, asking if they wanted to come with him. The youth ignored the male and proceeded to walk home without incident.
RCMP described the man as:
- Likely between the ages of 17-25
- Caucasian
- Black hair
- 142-160 cm (between 4’8” – 5’3”)
- Slim Build
- Wearing a black and orange hoodie
RCMP is working with Parkland School Division and the community to ensure the safety of all students.
