RCMP are investigating after a fatal two vehicle collision near the village of Thorsby early Saturday afternoon.
According to police, just before 1 p.m. officers arrived at Township Road 490 and Range Road 281 to find an 82-year-old woman trapped inside her SUV.
While Leduc County Fire Services were able to free the driver – she was later pronounced dead in hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the second vehicle, a pickup truck, and his female passenger were both transported and treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
No other details have been released.
The investigation continues.
