A teen charged after an attack on a 62-year-old woman is expected to hear his fate in an Edmonton courtroom Monday.

The teen was just 17-years-old when he was charged with aggravated sexual assault and robbery after the woman was discovered near 93 Street and 103 Avenue in January of 2012.

She was taken to hospital after she was found unconscious, hypothermic and bleeding heavily.

The woman’s son told CTV News that she was coming home from work when the assault happened.

The teen cannot be identified due to a publication ban.

Officials said they do not believe the teen was known to the victim.
