An 18-year-old male was found dead in Chain Lake Thursday night after his canoe capsized due to bad weather, Slave Lake RCMP said.
Mounties said two males were canoeing on Chain Lake when their canoe capsized during a storm. A 17-year-old make swam to shore and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After ground and aerial searches, the missing canoeist was found dead in the water.
Next of kin has been notified, and the name of the 18-year-old male will not be released.
