Fire crews in Edmonton have been investigating after a mobile home fire sent two people to hospital.

A spokesperson with Edmonton Fire Rescue told CTV News crews responded to the fire at 126 Street and 153 Avenue around 4:35 p.m. Saturday.

At the scene fire fighters battled flames shooting from the deck and side panels of the home.

Two brothers inside the home were safely removed. One of the brothers was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

A third person at the scene was also taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

Crews were able to put the fire out by about 5:30 p.m.

The damage has been estimated to be $85,000.

Officials said they believed the blaze was caused by smoker’s material such as a cigarette or matches.
