Edmonton police said Thursday that the autopsy had been completed in connection to the weekend death of a man in his 30s.

Police said the Medical Examiner had confirmed William John Patterson, 37, died from a gun-shot wound in what is now the city’s latest homicide.

The Homicide Section is still investigating.

The investigation started after officers were called to a home near Chappelle Drive and Claxton Sunday at about 4:55 a.m.

A male was rushed to hospital with gun-shot wounds, but he later succumbed to his injuries.
