Charges are pending against two people suspected of running a marijuana grow-op near St. Paul, Alta.

RCMP say approximately 1800 marijuana plants in various stages of growth was seized during a search warrant at a rural property near St. Paul on Thursday.

The seizure comes after a three-month investigation that led to a farm property located about seven kilometres north of St. Paul.

Police say the operation was “very sophisticated and continual.”

Two people have been taken into custody.

Charges are pending against a 67-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman.

St. Paul is located about 200 kilometres northeast of Edmonton.
