The City of Edmonton has implemented “no stopping zones” during home and away Oilers games for the duration of the team’s playoff run.

In an attempt to ensure the safety of Edmontonians and maintain a smooth traffic flow, drivers are not allowed to park or stop on Jasper Avenue between 109 Street and 97 Street, and on Whyte Avenue between 109 Street and Gateway Boulevard from 7 p.m. until midnight on game days.

Cars parked or stopped in those areas will be ticketed or towed, the City said.
