We've had one or two small shower cells roll through parts of the Capital Region this morning.

But, for MOST of the region, it'll be a dry morning/early afternoon with a few sunny breaks.

Cooler air aloft means that even though it won't warm up very much, there's enough instability to generate a few thunderstorms in Central Alberta.

Most areas will miss out on that.  But, we may see one over or near Edmonton early this evening.

Most regions stayed frost-free this morning.

However, with skies clearing tonight, much of central and northern Alberta will be at risk of getting frost Friday morning.

Even some areas within the city of Edmonton might get a bit of patchy frost.

We'll have more on that risk later today on CTV News at 5 & 6.

The coldest air moves out after today and temperatures rebound to highs in the mid teens for this weekend.
