Hundreds turned out to a Grande Prairie football field early Sunday morning to remember four teens that were killed in a collision Saturday.

The teens vehicle was hit by a pick up truck in the early hours on Highway 668 near Highway 40.

Police have confirmed the four victims were Matt Deller, Vince Stover, Tanner Hildebrand and Walter Borden-Wilkins.

Zak Judd survived the crash and was airlifted to an Edmonton hospital.

The boys had been students at Grande Prairie Composite High School and were members of the football team.

"They were some of the nicest guys you could ever meet," Classmate Jessica Guest told CTV News.

Many of those who attended Sunday's service were wearing the school colours, black and orange.

Their coach spoke to those gathered and a prayer was said for the recovery of Judd.

"It's just really hard to know that they will no longer be playing with us," Assistant coach, Roy Weighill said.

"They will always be with us. Always," He said, adding he was having a hard time dealing with the loss.

Several orange balloons were released into the night sky. Candles were lit and the football team cheered.

The school will be having grief counsellors available for students next week.

It has not been decided if the community will hold a united funeral or if they families of the boys will hold separate services.
