A 46-year-old man is dead after a workplace accident southeast of Edmonton.
According to Alberta Occupational Health and Safety, the man was crushed to death Friday in Wainwright, Alta.
Officials tell CTV News the man was crushed against a front-end loader by a bucket after he accidentally released hydraulic pressure.
The man was a co-owner of Alberta Laser and Tech Services.
Occupational Health and Safety has issued a hazard assessment and control of hazardous energy order against the company.
Wainwright is about 200 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
