Investigators have issued a warrant for a 27-year-old man after a cook was shot in the leg at a popular downtown restaurant last week.

Police were called to Joey Tomatoes at 112 Street and Jasper Avenue around 1 a.m. Jan. 16 with reports a fight broke out inside the lounge area of the restaurant.

During the fight somebody pulled out a handgun and fired a round into the restaurant's tiles. The shot allegedly ricocheted off the ceiling and struck the restaurant's cook in the leg.

A warrant has been issued for Michael Peter Willis, 27.

Police spokeswoman Patrycia Chalupczynska said he is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Willis is described as six feet tall, with brown hair and blue eyes. He may also be driving a two-door, silver BMW.
