Months after a 36-year-old Spruce Grove teacher was found dead in her home, more details have come to light of what happened in the hours leading up to her death.

RCMP said Jolene Cote had played a soccer game at the Edmonton Soccer Centre located on 175 Street and 106 A Avenue, and shopped at a nearby Wal-Mart on October 12, the day before her body was found by her husband.

Surveillance video released by investigators show Cote entering the Wal-Mart located on Stony Plain Road just before 10 p.m., then leaving just after 10:30 p.m. with a cart full of items.

"The items that were purchased in the store, were found in her vehicle intact," Sgt. Tim Taniguchi with RCMP K Division said.

Police said the surveillance footage shows the last known time Cote was seen alive.

Photos of three unique pieces of jewellery were also released; police aren't sure if she was wearing the items or had them with her at the time.

Police are looking for a silver necklace with a diamond pendant, and a diamond solitare engagement ring with a matching wedding band.

In addition to the released video and photos, the family of the victim has doubled the cash reward for information surrounding Cote's death.

The reward has increased from $25,000 – to $50,000.

Anyone who may have seen Jolene Cote, or her vehicle, between about 11:40 p.m. on October 12 and the next morning is asked to call Stony Plain RCMP at 780-968-7267, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
