Edmonton police are releasing pictures of a man suspected in a series of robberies at several stores and banks in the capital region, and other cities over the last few months.

Police said the man is suspected to be behind robberies dating back to January 15.

It's believed he robbed cash from the till of a drug store located on 94 Street and Ellerslie Road on January 15, taking an undisclosed amount of cash. Then, on January 17, the same man entered a bank located at 98 Avenue and 50 Street, and demanded money from the teller – again walking away with an unknown amount of money.

On February 8, the same man went into a bank on 175 Street and 100 Avenue, and passed a note demanding money to the teller, who gave him an undisclosed amount of money.

The same man is believed to have targeted banks in Spruce Grove on February 23, Winnipeg on March 20, and Calgary on Monday, April 2.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • Between 172 cm (5'8") and 178 cm (5'10") tall
  • Medium build
  • Believed to be in his 50s
  • Unshaven look
  • Gray hair

Police said in some of the robberies, the suspect mentioned a gun, and a threat was made.
