Edmonton police are asking for help in tracking down a possible witness to the stabbing death of an 18-year-old man on Jasper Avenue earlier this week.
Police released security video showing a person walking down Jasper Avenue earlier this week.
It’s that person police are seeking as a possible witness to the slaying of Shane Bird, 18, early Monday morning in the area of Jasper Avenue and 114 Street.
Officers were called to the area at about 1 a.m., after police received reports of a violent incident in the area.
Minutes later, officers arrived on the scene and the victim was rushed to hospital – where he was pronounced dead.
Anyone with information on the identity of this possible witness is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service non-emergency line at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone.
