An Alberta man has been charged after police found 1.5 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle.

Peace River RCMP discovered the drug during a traffic stop on Highway 2 Saturday morning.

Fifteen grams of marijuana was also seized.

Scott Kyca, 27, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

His first court appearance will be on Monday, March 17.

Police said the street value of the cocaine was over $100,000.

GRIMSHAW RESIDENT CHARGED

RCMP have also charged Zabrina Grimm, 19, with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Grimm was charged after police discovered 170 grams of marijuana, three grams of ecstasy, some hash and $2,800 cash in her vehicle during a traffic stop March 15.

She is expected to appear in court on April 16.
