With days to go before Edmontonians get their first look at the new downtown arena, the arena’s Executive Chef revealed the menu.
Touted as an “expansive” line of food options, the menu revealed Tuesday includes more than 80 food items, and that’s just for the concessions menu, many items that will be offered will be sourced from regional vendors and farms.
Some of the featured concessions items include a variety of burgers, a version of poutine made with potato nuggets, at least two different types of hot dog, and a version of chicken shawarma.
Rogers Place said the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and fries, along with soft pretzels, popcorn and peanuts will also be available.
Rogers Place features 16 permanent concession locations, 16 portable concession stands, 11 fixed bars, and five kitchens. Officials said the arena also has multiple grills, carveries and bistros. Food prices were not released.
