ALERT and Wood Buffalo RCMP laid drug-trafficking charges against three men, after tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of drugs and trafficking paraphernalia was found.

ALERT’s Wood Buffalo Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), with help from RCMP, executed two search warrants in Fort McMurray on Thursday.

In all, CFSEU members seized about 563 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $55,000, and 20 grams of marijuana.

Drug trafficking paraphernalia was also seized, along with more than $4,000 in cash.

Police said as a result, Douglas Jardine, 40, Michael Crocker, 24, and Christopher Charbonneau, 27, all residents of Fort McMurray, are facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime.
