It’s been an inconvenient and costly Thanksgiving for a number of residents of a south side apartment complex.
More than a dozen vehicles parked in stalls near Southgate Mall had their tires slashed this weekend, and in most cases, all four tires were hit.
“My girlfriend saw there was one tire and the police were here, so we went over to speak to them and she came over and inspected the vehicle, and it was a few more tires than just the one unfortunately,” Joe Green said.
“We are paying like $65, $75 for covered parking, and no CCTV cameras,” Ajit Kumar said. “So we're wondering if they can do something better for us because you never know. Today the do the flat tire, tomorrow they're going to break the glass and take the stuff out.”
