Edmonton police said Tuesday that two males had been charged in connection to a number of recent fires set in the Callingwood neighbourhood.
Police said two suspects were identified after EPS released images taken from surveillance footage on July 27.
On Tuesday, police said the two accused males are believed to have been behind nine fires set in the Callingwood area, including blazes set near a church, a school, a condo unit and a park.
One of the accused is a young offender, and the other is 18-years-old.
The youth has been charged with four counts of arson, the older accused is facing five counts of arson.
The identity of the younger suspect is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, and EPS has chosen to not release the identity of the older suspect.
