Edmonton police are investigating, after a man suffered stab wounds at a house party early Friday morning.

Police were called to the apartment suite in the area of 84 Street and 109 Avenue, just before 2:30 a.m. Friday.

When they arrived, police found a 25-year-old man suffering from serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition, but several hours later, police said his condition had stabilized, and he was expected to survive.

On the scene, police said they were searching for at least two suspects – who reportedly fled on foot.

Early Friday afternoon, investigators said details were scarce, and asked anyone with information that could help in the investigation to come forward.
