Edmonton police have confirmed the woman in her 20s, whose body was found inside a mobile home Sunday evening is a case of homicide.

Police said Tuesday the Medical Examiner conducted the autopsy on the 26-year-old woman Tuesday.

However, the identity of the woman is still being verified.

In addition, police are not releasing the cause of death ‘for investigative purposes’.

The investigation began after police were called to the Oakridge Mobile Home Park in southeast Edmonton at about 7 p.m. Sunday.

Inside one of the homes, police found a woman’s body.

The homicide is not believed to be random, and the investigation is ongoing.

According to police, a suspect has been identified.
