A Camrose man has been arrested and charged in connection to the murder of a Maskwacis woman in 2014.

20-year-old Jessica Wyoma Lynn Boysis went missing on July 15, 2014, and was found dead three days later behind a Wetaskiwin business.

An autopsy in Edmonton revealed that Boysis was murdered, and in the course of two years, RCMP Major Crimes South, Wetaskiwin RCMP forensics investigated the circumstances of the homicide.

Police arrested 38-year-old John Joseph William Profeit on October 14 in Camrose and charged him with one count of second degree murder.

Profeit is scheduled to appear in court on November 1.
