Police have laid a number of charges against a man in his 20s, after a traffic incident escalated to a fight Thursday morning.

Investigators said the incident happened just before 8 a.m. Thursday, in the area of 107 Avenue and 106 Street.

It’s believed two vehicles – one with a 27-year-old man behind the wheel, the other with a 56-year-old man driving – nearly collided in that intersection.

Afterwards, the drivers reportedly started arguing, which escalated into a fight.

Then, it’s alleged the 27-year-old grabbed a baseball bat from his own vehicle, and hit the other man with it.

Passing Traffic Sherriff intervened, and arrested the younger man – he was held until police arrived.

The 56-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

Police have charged Alaa Al-Thehaiby, 27, with assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
