Edmonton police investigators have laid charges in a violent gas station robbery from Monday afternoon.

A man allegedly used a weapon to rob a store near 61 Street and 101 Avenue around 3:30 p.m., injuring the store clerk.

The suspect was nabbed just after 5:00 p.m. near 101 Street and Jasper Avenue.

20-year-old Leyion Twoyoungmen is facing charges of robbery, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and breach of probation.

The store clerk is said to be recovering in hospital from non-life threatening injuries.
